About Nahum & Arin

About Nahum

I was born in Portsmouth, OH, a relatively small town on the banks of the Ohio River where Kentucky and West Virginia come together.  I am the oldest of four siblings born to loving Christian parents. As a family, we attended Berean Baptist Church of Sciotoville, OH. Berean Baptist is my sending church today. Upon graduation from Wheelersburg High School, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. I served six years in the USAF, primarily as a Satellite, Wideband and Telemetry Systems Technician with the 3rd Combat Communications Group stationed at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. I enjoyed my time in the military and was blessed with opportunities to travel to Germany, Honduras, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and other various locations. Additionally, I was able to complete an A.A.S. in Electronic Systems Technology. I was honorably discharged in 2009 and enrolled in Liberty University in pursuit of ministry training. I completed a B.S. of Religion in 2012 and will soon complete a Masters of Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. During my time in the military and college I have been blessed to serve the Lord in various ministry opportunities to include Christian camps, short-term mission trips, homeless ministry, Sunday school teacher, and Youth Pastor. God has clearly used my background, experience and desire to bring me to this point. I am looking forward with great anticipation to the things He will accomplish through me while serving with ABWE in Norway.

Ephesians 2

Nahum's Salvation Story

I was nine years old when I realized I needed Jesus and received Him into my life. The Holy Spirit’s conviction fell upon me while the family and I were preforming the tradition of decorating the Christmas tree. Once my parents had erected the tree, we children were permitted to attach the ornaments. Through divine appointment I had selected a box of ornaments which summarized the life of Christ: i.e. birth, baptism, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus. As I placed each ornament on the tree, in order, I began to recall all the lessons I had been taught through my parents and the church. It was at this moment that I became truly and devastatingly convicted over personal sin. Under such conviction, I asked my mother to teach me how to surrender my life to Jesus. It was on that cold winter night that I acknowledge Jesus as Lord and received Him as Savior.

About Arin

I was born and raised in Hallsville, MO, a small community in central Missouri. I am the youngest of four siblings born to loving Christian parents. I grew up on my family's farm where I often worked alongside my parents planting, harvesting, taking care of livestock, etc. Following my graduation from a small Christian school, I went to Pensacola Christian College where I earned 2 degrees in art. After graduation, I spent time overseas and was able to see missionary life up close. I am thankful for the ministry opportunities I have had in the past which include: children’s ministry, women’s ministry, nursing home and juvenile justice center and camp ministry.
